Women’s Specific Full-Day Mountain Bike Clinic & Yoga
This full-day clinic offers a comprehensive mountain bike experience in a supportive environment, geared towards women ages 16 and older. Over the course of the day, progress your mountain bike skills, gain tools to improve your fitness and nutrition, learn how to maintain your own bike, strengthen your mental focus while mountain biking, experience the allure of the Tahoe forests, and gain new riding buddies! This clinic is suitable for beginner and intermediate riders.
All proceeds support the TXC Ski Education Association Junior Mountain Riders, a weekly mountain bike program that provides a safe and positive opportunity for kids to learn mountain bike skills with their peers.

Cost: $175 per participant
Registration closes on Thursday, August 27th, at 5:00pm. Pre-registration is required to help us ensure a 6:1 student-to-instructor ratio, as well as to inform all participants of required safety precautions. Drop-ins are not permitted.
Tahoe XC Pre-Clinic Info Please arrive at 7:45am to check-in for the clinic. If you plan on renting a bike, please contact Tahoe XC to ensure a bike is available and arrive at 7:30am to set up your rental bike. All riders should be ready to ride at 8:00am.
Please bring a fully functional mountain bike. Cross-country, trail, and all-mountain type mountain bikes will work just fine. The cross-country style trails used for the clinic are rated beginner to advance. We have a limited number of Giant Fathom 1 bikes to rent. Contact us to reserve a bike.
Helmets, protective eyewear, and gloves are required for all participants. Elbow and knee pads are optional. Flat pedals are highly recommended for learning new skills. However, feel free to use your clipless pedals if you are confident into clippingget in and out of the pedals. Please carry a pack that includes a spare tube, water, and snacks for yourself.

Skill sessions will mostly take place in a flat zone. The skills introduced to riders will depend on experience and previous training. The skills range from fundamentals, cornering (flat vs berm, slow vs fast), wheel lifts, and technical terrain skills.
All rides will start from Tahoe XC. Rides will range from 5 to 15 miles depending on experience and fitness. You can expect a 500 to 2000 ft elevation gain. The trails surrounding Tahoe XC are mostly smooth with some rocky, technical terrain. Your coach will pick a ride suitable for your group’s ability and fitness.
