Kili Lehmkuhl Head Shot

Kili Lehmkuhl is a North Tahoe High School graduate, class of 2021. She recently finished her first year at Colorado University (CU) Boulder. Kili is majoring in Environmental Science and is an athlete on the CU Nordic Ski team. Kili’s nordic career started with us, here at Tahoe XC as soon as she could walk. She participated in Strider Gliders, North Tahoe Middle School Nordic team, Tahoe XC Devo Team, North Tahoe High School Nordic team, and the Auburn Ski Club COMP team. She has grown up on the North Shore of Tahoe, which is her favorite place to be. Kili loves the outdoors and can’t wait to share her passion for the trails, adventure, and skiing with others.

Etienne Bordes Head Shot

Etienne Bordes is a half-French, half-American who grew up in Tahoe City, California. His passion for skiing started when he was young when his parents put him into the Tahoe XC Strider Gliders and eventually moved up to the Devo program. After racing cross-county, he came across biathlon which he truly fell in love with the sport. Within his first year of biathlon, he became a 2x National Champion and had the chance to compete in Norway. Since then he has represented the USA in the Youth Olympic Games in Lausanne, Switzerland, and Youth Junior World Championships in Obertilliach, Austria. Now, he is finishing his year abroad racing with a French team in La Clusaz where he has learned to become a true Frenchie and to speak French! He plans to share all that he has learned with the younger generation coming to Tahoe XC and show them the joys of playing in the mountains.
